Greg was brought up in the successful Lancashire Academy of American Football, having begun playing the sport at 12 years old through school team, St.Peter’s Pumas. Greg’s rise through the age groups in Lancashire led him to be named Defensive Coordinator of the Lancashire Wolverines Colts, whilst still playing free-safety for the programme.

On moving to Birmingham for university study in 2007, Greg took on senior roles within the Birmingham Lions’ infrastructure, and was subsequently named as a defensive assistant on the Great Britain Juniors programme for inaugural visits to Poland, Serbia and the Netherlands. Having continued involvement with the national programme since 2008, Greg was named a team captain on the GB Students programme in 2013, before recently being given the position of Special Teams Coordinator on graduating from the system.

Whilst with the Birmingham Lions Greg played in 5 national championship games during 6 seasons; winning 3 championships. Following graduation from a masters programme, Greg was named Defensive Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator, and is grateful for the opportunity to work with players who represent the highest standard of football player in the United Kingdom at the defensive back position.
