2015 Bio:

Half-Back Ruth Matta’s blistering stats this season – 816 yards and 19 touchdowns – do most of the talking, but just to ensure we’re all clear Matta is the UK’s premier Running Back: her poise and patience compliment her footwork and pace and for a pocket-battleship she’s tough too. Matta’s incredibly consistent club delivery was in full effect across the course of the summer too when for Great Britain, she starred and gained MVP honours (vs Finland) at IFAF’s recent European Championships.

2014 Bio:

Ruth is the Lions’go to’ half-back. A threat from anywhere on the field her natural athletic ability has made her one of the team’s most dangerous finishers: with an inch of room she is a threat, with a little more she is deadly. Her raft of quick-fire scores in the 2014 National Sapphire Finals broke opposition hearts whilst paving the way for Lions’ victory.
